Description

This is a prefit barrel that utilizes a barrel nut system to tighten the barrel onto the action. The benefit of this style of barrel is that it’s easily fit up by anyone at home with a proper wrench and headspace gauges. 5 minutes is all you need to swap from one caliber to another, so you can easily run one action, one chassis and one scope while switching just the barrel from .308 to 6 Creedmoor for example.

Make sure to have a look at our barrel nut/wrenches and muzzle brakes/thread protectors!

***NOTES***

Barrel nuts do NOT come with barrels unless purchased together.

Please be aware Savage rifle shank sizes are NOT caliber specific! You “MAY” find, for example that they have a 6.5 Creed on a large shank. The savage small shank tenon is 1.06″, anything bigger is a large shank!

A couple months ago, I recived my 7 PRC 26″ straight shank 7.5 twist barrel ibi four gill brake. Wow, it shoots lights out, 180GR Berger VLD’s like half/minute @ 100M, even less with the 175GR ELD-X. well worth the upgrade, its sitting in a Christensen Arms Action, in a MDT ACC chassis.
